The YSL hardware that punctures the Le 5 a 7 bag didn't come about by chance. Eager to find a signature that perfectly represented its androgynous, timeless aesthetic, Saint Laurent looked to the expertise of French artist Adolphe Mouron Cassandre. And so, in 1961, the monogram was born expressed here in a classic gold-tone hardware that sings in harmony with the grained leather backdrop.
